This exciting new interactive course will train you in the emerging and expanding use of endoscopy for diagnosis and treatment of external and middle ear disease in small animals. The course is delivered by world renown instructors, who have pioneered translation of the cutting edge of human ear medicine to the veterinary world. The course includes theoretical learning, and training in practical skills using cadaveric material. You will learn how the endoscope has revolutionised otological diagnosis, in particular in the recognition of surgical disease commonly misclassified as dermatological. You will be trained in endoscopic therapy, including trans-canal washout, instrumentation, and delivery of medication. You will be trained in the detailed endoscopic anatomy of the ear and the use of endoscopic dissection in bulla osteotomy for treatment of intractable middle ear pathology. You will also be taught acquisition and interpretation of CT imaging, and the use of CT data for optical image guidance for surgical localisation of the bulla in the dog.

Hands-on training led by expert instructors equals enhanced proficiency and improved surgical skills. Build your confidence with accuracy and efficiency:

  • Update their knowledge on practical surgical techniques and procedures
  • Increase confidence levels when performing various soft tissue and orthopedic surgery procedures.
  • Gain a better knowledge of the regional anatomy related to each surgical procedure
  • Better understand how to perform each surgical technique through extensive use of video case examples coupled with hands-on laboratory practice
  • Realize that many soft tissue and orthopedic surgery procedures are possible to perform in practice
