Surgical Procedures for General Practitioners: Urinary, Gastrointestinal, & Basic Oncology Techniques

August 31 - September 2, 2026

During this course, participants will hear the most up-to-date information regarding urinary tract and gastrointestinal disease with a focus on surgical management of both benign and malignant disease. Lectures will be followed by laboratories that focus on having the participants perform the same procedures that were highlighted during the lectures. At the end of this course, participants will feel comfortable with many different urinary tract and gastrointestinal procedures, with a focus on procedures such as cystotomy, cystostomy tube placement, urethrostomy, gastrotomy, biopsy, enterotomy, intestinal resection and anastomosis, local flaps, digit amputation and vulvoplasty.
