Power Into Practice
July 13 - 15, 2026
This three-day bootcamp is for veterinarians 0–5 years out of school or returning to practice who want to build confidence through hands-on training in common disease processes. You’ll get an overview and practical instruction in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and emergency/critical care from expert instructors. Topics include gastrotomy and gastropexy, splenectomy, cystotomy, gastrointestinal surgery (enterotomy and end-to-end resection and anastomosis), tooth extraction and use of dental equipment, and life-saving emergency techniques such as thoracostomy tube placement and tracheostomy.
ABOUT THIS COURSE
Power into Practice is a three-day CE course to build confidence in dentistry, surgery, analgesia, and dermatology. You’ll get hands-on dentistry with real patients—diagnostics, case evaluation, and treatment planning—plus interactive surgery discussions and demos covering workups, differentials, and treatment options for common small-animal cases. The analgesia section focuses on safe, effective sedation and anesthetic techniques for perioperative care. Dermatology reviews canine allergic dermatitis therapies—mechanisms, side effects, and JAK inhibitors—along with emerging human treatments and their veterinary implications.
Learning Objectives
Perform diagnostic testing and implement treatment strategies for common veterinary dental conditions.
Apply systematic diagnostic approaches and select appropriate treatments for small-animal surgical cases.
Utilize safe, effective sedation and anesthesia protocols tailored to patient needs.
