Dr. Leonard grew up in Castle Rock, Colorado after moving there from the West Coast as a kid. Her lifelong love of animals led her to earn a Bachelor of Science in Zoology at Colorado State University in 2015, followed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from CSU in 2020. During her academic journey, Dr. Leonard also completed a zookeeping internship at the Denver Zoo. 

Dr. Leonard has a passion for feline medicine and is a certified Feline Friendly Veterinarian. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her feline patients and works hard to stay current on the latest treatments and techniques. She also enjoys seeing exotic pets and is always working to expand her experience with them. Dr. Leonard embraces the unique challenges of feline and exotics medicine and is eager to help clients with their care. Her other professional interests include preventative medicine, pain management, animal enrichment, neonatal care/medicine, and internal medicine.

At home, Dr. Leonard keeps busy fostering kittens and pursuing hobbies such as reading, gardening, and painting. She and her husband love to travel, camp, and enjoy live music. They share their home with cats, geckos, and many plants.
