This comprehensive two-day course offers an in-depth opportunity to learn more about Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery in the Veterinary Practice, focusing on Diagnostic Laparoscopy and Laparoscopic Ovariectomy (LOVE) Spay. The course aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to integrate these minimally invasive Laparoscopic techniques into their veterinary hospital.  Topics include laparoscopic instrumentation, benefits of Minimally invasive surgery, laparoscopic technique, efficiency of movement/triangulation, discussion of Lap Assisted Procedures (including gastropexy), overview of the Laparoscopic Spay and discussion regarding tips for successful integration to your hospital setting.

On day one, each group will practice laparoscopic minimally invasive procedures on cadavers/models.  On the second day, participants will work in pairs to perform laparoscopic spays on an adoptee from a nearby rescue group. Under the guidance of skilled instructors, attendees will receive valuable pointers and support as they perform the LOVE spay.  This presents a unique opportunity for participants to learn Laparoscopic Surgery, all while contributing to the welfare of a local rescue group. Armed with hands-on experience and personalized instruction, attendees will leave ready to integrate these minimally invasive techniques into their clinical practice.
