Some ‘theory’ will be included in the lectures, but the emphasis will be placed on ‘how’ to perform each procedure. This will maximize the time participants spend in the laboratory. Day 1 will focus on procedures of the canine including laryngeal tie-back, TECA-LBO, perineal hernia, anal sacculectomy, and scrotal urethrostomy in the canine. Day 2 will focus on procedures of the feline including Ventral bulla osteotomy, Nasal planectomy + pinnectomy, perineal urethrostomy, caudal superficial epigastric flap and standard + Mila chest drain placement. Emphasis will be placed on the regional anatomy as well as the technical aspects used to perform each procedure.
